Creamed honey also known as whipped honey, honey butter, or spun honey are all a type of crystallized honey. At Honey Barrel we just call it Great! Creamed honey has a silky smooth texture making it easy to use and spread! Sprinkle with some cinnamon, or dip apple slices into it… Yummy! A lot of different fruit spreads can be made with it.
It is less messy than your standard honey. The spreadable state that you find it in will stay with the honey. The formation of micro crystals prevents the formation of larger crystals. All raw honey will crystallize, because it’s basically sugar, and those crystals are usually not smooth or creamy. When we make creamed honey, we make sure the crystals are very small, which creates a consistency close to peanut butter. At Honey Barrel we repeat the process 3 times to give you the smoothest product possible. Creamed tastes exactly like honey, but it spreads and won’t spill.
